Scotchman Ironworkers & Cold Saws — 25+ Years at Northern Machinery Sales
A line we’ve stood behind for over 25 years: Scotchman Industries has been building metal fabrication equipment in Philip, South Dakota since 1967 — hydraulic ironworkers, cold saws, band saws, pipe notchers, hydraulic presses and measuring systems, all from one American builder with a reputation for machines that outlive the shops around them. We saw the full line run again at FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas (Booth C919) — cutting, punching, shearing, bending and notching real material — the same machines we’ve been selling and servicing across New England for a quarter century.

Scotchman Ironworkers, Cold Saws, Band Saws & Hydraulic Presses
- Ironworkers — 14 models from 45 to 150 tons, single- and dual-operator, with punching, shearing, angle cutting and notching stations, plus custom tooling (Scotchman showed a custom punch at FABTECH that punches four oval holes in one hit).
- Cold saws — the CPO 350 family (including a variable-speed model and an autoloader version Scotchman demonstrated running unattended), plus the GAA 500 and SUP 600 for non-ferrous work.
- Hydraulic presses — including the NEW HB-31 (below) and the PressPro 110 W MT for assembly, straightening, bending and forming.
- Also: band saws, tube & pipe notchers (AL series), belt sanders and grinders, deburring/edge finishing, and digital measuring & programmable feed/stop systems.
