The Norlok Watson Heavy Duty (HDWA) is Norlok’s toughest portable clinching machine, from Norlok Technology Inc. of Brantford, Ontario. It forms a Clinchlok joint — the upper tooling squeezes two plies between a punch and die, locking them together with no rivets, bolts, fasteners, heat or adhesives, no fumes, and little or no damage to painted or galvanized finishes.

With round or rectangular clinches, the HDWA fastens up to 1/4-inch total thickness in mild steel, aluminum, copper, zinc and alloys, and is ideal for joining more than two layers. Hole punching is available up to 7/16 inch, and it clinches up to 18 ga stainless with select punches and dies. The frame is customizable — strokes, throat depths and hanging — with single-stroke or dual-stage approach, and a high-speed booster option that doubles the speed.
