The Norlok ASTRACLINCH Power Line is a portable two-stroke clinching machine from Norlok Technology Inc. of Brantford, Ontario. It forms a Clinchlok joint — the upper tooling squeezes two plies between a punch and die, locking them together with no rivets, bolts, fasteners, heat or adhesives, no fumes, and little or no damage to painted or galvanized finishes.

Two-stroke clinching works in two phases: the material is first deformed plastically inside a die, then in the second phase the joint is squeezed between the punch and an anvil outside the die — producing a high-quality joint in shape, strength and repeatability.

The complete unit is a compact workhead with a hydraulic hose and an air-over-oil pressure intensifier (booster) with automatic cycle control, ready to run on factory compressed air. It is all-pneumatic, using standard 90 psi (6 bar) shop air.

• Capacity: clinches up to 2 layers of 16 ga mild steel (0.160 in. / 4 mm total); stainless ready up to 0.120 in. (3 mm) total
• Very close edge access — the center of the clinch can be within 1/4 in. (6.3 mm) of the flange edge

• Complete unit: compact workhead, hydraulic hose and air-over-oil pressure intensifier (booster) with automatic cycle control
